Upcycling For Outdoors

Who'd thunk painting tires bright colors would actually make them look fun
and attractive?

This cinderblock garden wall looks upscale.

Using old mailboxes like these for planters is industrial and charming at the same time.

Here's a bench that almost anyone can make, made from old discarded chairs.
Places like Home Depot or Lowe's will cut your lumber to a specified length.
This idea has so many possibilities!

I really like these tables that would be great on a porch or deck. You need some skills for this one...

I really like these outdoor ideas for shutters, but there are many more ideas
for old shutters on dishfunctional designs.

  1. It's not the tire colors that make it look good, it's the gorgeous flowers. I'd say that is the key in most of the pictures. Those tables made from old pieces of wood are very unique.

Did you know that to make a comment, the double word verifier pops up?

  2. Hello!
I'm a Northwestern University journalism student. I know this seems odd, but I'm doing a project on antique collecting in Chicago for a journalism class, and was wondering if I could possibly talk to you about your blog and what you do? You can email me at annalisefrank2014@u.northwestern.edu
    Thank you,
    Annalise
